This ceremony style offers a Christian or traditional framework but intentionally avoids referencing any specific religious denomination, allowing couples to celebrate their bond in a way that feels personal and meaningful to them.

Couple signing a document together, close-up

Filling out paperwork can often feel like navigating a maze, with forms scattered everywhere and processes that seem to multiply. At Celebrations Wedding Chapel, we understand how overwhelming this can be. Simply bring the paperwork from the state—our staff will assist you in completing it as needed. Once your ceremony concludes, you won't have to worry about what's next. We’ll email you a step-by-step outline to help you through the name change process, so all you have to do is focus on what really matters: celebrating your love surrounded by family and friends.

Handfastings

An ancient Celtic and Pagan tradition that symbolizes a heartfelt pledge of commitment, betrothal, or marriage, handfasting is rich in history and meaning. The vows exchanged may be taken for varying lengths of time, including "a year and a day," "a lifetime," "for all of Eternity," or even "for as long as love shall last."

During the ceremony, the couple's clasped hands are beautifully bound together with a cord or ribbon, which gives rise to the phrase "tying the knot." This meaningful ritual can also be thoughtfully included as a romantic addition to any wedding celebration, making the occasion even more special and memorable. Some of our couples also like to add jumping the broom for love and prosperity. Add a favorite tree, color, poem, crystal, or herbal tea blend for that perfect magical touch.
